About Ronnie
I have been elected to represent you as your Conservative and Unionist Councillor for our ward of Kirriemuir and Dean. I was born and brought up in Kirriemuir, educated at Webster’s Seminary and spent 40 years in our local regiment The Black Watch working my way from Junior Private to Major. I was made an MBE in 1992.
Since retiring from active service I have been serving as
• Chairman of the local branch of SSAFA
• Director of Veterans Housing Scotland
• Trustee and former chair of Kirriemuir Heritage Trust
• Elder and former Session Clerk of The Glens and Kirriemuir United Parish Church
• Involvement in numerous local groups and organisations, including TACTRAN (Tayside And Central Transport Partnership) representing Angus and the people of Kirriemuir and Dean
• Director of Angus Alive
• Director of Voluntary Action Angus
Ronnie PROCTOR'S priorities for Kirriemuir & Dean are ...
• At a time when the Scottish Government is centralising services, squeezing Local Authority funding and raising taxes, I shall continue to fight for: • Fair Government funding for Angus Council.
• Low Council Tax and Council House rents.
• A well-run Council serving local citizens.
• I shall continue to fight against the Scottish Government’s proposed Workplace Parking Charges.
• The Scottish Government’s proposed Tourist Tax
